RAMEN FIGHTER MIKI

Ramen Fighter Miki was created as a manga in 2002 by Jun Sadogawa. In 2006 the manga was
turned into an anime, the directer was Nobuo Tomizawa. The original name for it was
Muteki Kanban Musume, which translated means "the unbeatable delivery girl." it's also been called Noodle Fighter Miki. This anime is only found in subs, it's short with only 12 episodes.

STORY LINE:
The story is about a girl who has recently turned 20 and works in a Chinese
ramen shop with her mother. Miki works as the delivery girl for the shop, but every time
she goes to deliver, she always gets sidetracked by something simple. A lot
of other times she stops what she doing just to beat the crap out of no good punks she sees
in the streets. The story follows her adventures.

CHARACTERS
Miki Onimaru:(voiced by Hitomi Nabatame) Miki is the delivery girl for her mothers Chinese
ramen shop. A hilariously odd character. She has the mind and stubborn
attitude of a 12 year old but the strength of 20 men. This is the kind of person you don't when to piss off. She does have a sweet side... when she's drunk.

Megumi Kannazuki:(voiced by Ami Koshimizu) Megumi is the poster girl for a bakery shop
that is across the street of the Chinese ramen shop. Miki's rival and child hood
foe, she has the special talent of using chopsticks like darts.. she, like Miki, also changes her personality when drunk, becoming a crude person with the personality of a mean
drunk man.

Akihiko Ohta:(voiced by Yuichi Nakamura) Ohta is mainly just a side character but is in
a lot of scenes. He is the owner of a grocery store next to the ramen shop. He likes to
spend alot of his time at the ramen shop to hang out with Miki and her mother. he is also
obsessed with this TV show call star rangers a Power Rangers knock off.

Kankuro bishiyama:(voiced by Nobuyuki Hiyama) Kankuro is a really tough character that just
recently returned to his home town after 4 years of college and is seeking revenge against
Miki for bullying him when he was younger. He challenges Miki to a fight and loses... every day...

Tomoka Kayahara:(voiced by Kaori Mine) Ms.Kayahara is a teacher at the local high school.
she is mostly feared by the students of the school because of her frightening appearance.
at first glance everyone thinks she is a vengeful spirit, especially Megumi. When
Megumi sees her she starts to freak out and starts talking nonsense. She has a very depressed personality except when she is eating Ramen. At that time she is a happy a beautiful
women with a very cheerful attitude.

Toshiyuki:(voiced by Rokuro Naya) Toshiyuki is a vicious dog that hates Miki. Every time he
sees her he attacks without hesitation. The only person that he likes is Kankuro because
they have an understanding with each other.

ART STYLE:
A bright and colorful art style, it's fluidly animated from comdey sequences to fight scenes. You can really tell they took their time with animating, there's lots of fight scenes to keep you entertained.

OVERALL:
I thought this anime was OKAY. I was able to keep a strait face until the fifth episode. It gradually becomes funnier and your treated to a good anime if you can stand to bear it for a while. But thats the thing, you really shouldn't have to wait for your anime to get better. I began to like it more and more as I went on.my favorite character was Ms.Kayahara because she is the funniest character to me. he always scaring people by just being herself, but when she eats ramen she is as happy as a
school girl. At one point she ignored gravity and just climbed up a wall like
spider man, that kept me laughing for 10 minutes. A character that I hated though was
Miki's mother, she looks like a frog and is always beating her daughter and I don't mean
slapping her, I mean putting her face through walls. If your really out of choices at this point, it's worth picking up. But I wouldn't reccomend going out of your way. Go watch Rurouni Kenshin.

K-ON REVIEW

K-ON is a very interesting anime, it is funny, keeps your attention, and is actually very inspiring if you are in a band. As a guitarist it was actually very inspiring. The manga started in 2007 and is currently ongoing, the anime started airing in japan between April and June in 2009. it is
not yet dubbed so it will be in subs when you watch is but it really isn't that hard, there are only 13 episodes at the time but, an additional original video animation episode will be released in January 2010, so keep your eyes open for it! You might be wondering why this anime/manga was named K-ON, well it is actually short for keiongaku which translated, means light music.

STORY LINE:
The story starts off with Yui, an average school girl on her first day of school. She rushes to school as fast as she can worried she'll be late on her first day to find out she is early. With extra time to spare she looks around, at this time all the clubs are pressuring everyone to join theirs. Meanwhile, a club is being created, the school light music club. Ritsu- the ambitious drummer and Mio, a shy bassist, her shy best friend are working on it. After a while they are able to persuade Tsumugi to join, the picture of kindness and a keyboard player. But if they want to officially become a club they need one more member to join and guess who walks in? After pushing cake and tea on her they recruit (more like bribe) Yui to join them. Who eventually becomes the guitarist.
CONCEPT:
Much like Lucky Star K ON is all about MOE. It's just 22 minutes of packing in as much cute hilarity as possible. And what's more it's pretty funn even if you don't know to much about Japan . Because K On doesn't have to much of the kind of humor you can only understand if you were brought up in Japan (like Azumanga Diaoh). If you want to get started with comedic anime then start at K-On.
CHARACTERS:

Yui Hirasawa: (voiced by Aki Toyosaki) Yui is the main character, she is a lazy, clumsy yet lovable and fun character she lives a care free life and is the lead guitarist of the band and on of the main vocalist. she loves to play the guitar so much that she in fact named it "giita" which is adorable and childish in a good way. she has this weird thing were she likes to touch and hug people. she is never shy, which you can tell due to all the strange outfits she likes to wear. she has a little sister named Ui Hirasawa.

Ui Hirasawa: (voiced by Madoka Yonezawa) Ui is Yui's little sister but is actually more mature and responsible than Yui. she always takes care of Yui and does the cooking and cleaning around the house. even though Yui is lazy and Ui does all of the work around the house Ui really doesn't mind, she loves her sister as much as her sister loves her, they basically look after each other, which is a great plot for them.

Ritsu Tainaka: (voiced by Satomi Satō) Ritsu is a laid back and bright character, the drum player, she loves to have fun and relates to yui very well. Even though she technically the band leader She's also airheaded and at one point forgot to fill out the application to make the light music club official. One of her favorite activities is scaring Mio, her best friend.

Mio Akiyama: (voiced by Yōko Hikasa) Mio is a very shy character, when ever she is complimented she starts to blush and hides her face. she scares easily as well, her biggest fear i would have to say is barnacles. every time barnacles are mentioned (mainly mentioned by Ritsu) she freaks out and starts to say to herself "i didn't hear that" over and over again. she is the bassist for the band and one of the main vocalist.

Tsumugi Kotobuki: (voiced by Minako Kotobuki) Mugi is a very sweet character that is living the life as a princess, she isn't spoiled at all but her family is really rich, and that makes a lot of things easier for the band. usually at band practice she brings a tea set and some cakes and all the girls just sit there and talk about random stuff. she plays the keyboards for the band.

Azusa "Azunyan" Nakano: (voiced by Ayana Taketatsu) This character is introduced later on in the show but is a very important character. she like Mio is also very shy and could pass as Mio's little sister. she plays the guitar as well and is a little better than Yui but she treats Yui as if she is a pro at guitar. Azusa's parents were in a jazz band and that inspired her to playthe guitar since she was in the 4th grade. The band quickly fell in love with her and gave her the nick name "Azunyan" because she looks good in cat ears.

ART STYLE:
The artstyle is very cute, round, and easy on the eyes. The colorful characters don't contrast with the detailed backgrounds. The animation itself is very smooth, they put alot of work into it, each moment of K-On has the same ammount of work put into it as the last.

MUSIC:
The music in K-On was... Okay. Actually besides the fantastic end theme and the bands songs it's not to much different from your standard fare. Don't say crazy(the ending theme) and maybe the opening theme are the only thing's you'd find on my iPod.
OVERALL:
I thought this was a great anime, and it is pretty inspiring as a guitarist. I wanted to practice more every episode I watched. I quickly fell in love with Ritsu, the loud drummer, and I hope all the readers find themselves falling in love with a K-On character themselves soon!

Soul Eater Review

Soul Eater is an attention grabbing anime, created as a manga in 2003 by Atsushi Okubo,It began airing in japan in 2008, the director was Takuya Igarashi. Soul Eater is an action/supernatural/comedic
anime and is a very interesting one at that, standing out among all the others. It only has 51 episode in all so its not to long compared to others.

STORYLINE: The story starts of in a gothic town called "Death City" where a strange creature that kills a women than eats her soul, it sounds sick right? 2 kids come out of nowhere and start to fight this creature, these 2 kids are the main characters,Soul Eater and Maka Albarn. These are not ordinary kids though, these kids are students at Death Weapon Meister Academy, A.K.A the shibusen academy. Maka and Soul were trained to capture ninety nine evil human souls and one witch's soul in that order. the reason for that is is that soul is a human shaped weapon that can transform into a scythe, and when he eats 100 souls he will turn into a more powerful human weapon called the death scythe. As the anime goes on it starts to get more psychological.

CHARACTERS:
Soul Eater: Soul is a demon weapon that can turn into a scythe and fight against evil souls, but he is basically a badass that is obsessed with being cool, and usually has a laid back attitude. he never talks about whats going on in his mind. He is Maka's demon weapon partner. Though they constantly argue they do take care of and look after each other.

Maka Albarn: Maka is Soul's meister, which means that when soul turns into a scythe, Maka is the one who wields it. She and soul make a good team together, even though she does sometimes loses it when soul does something foolish. She is a character with a lot of potential and will do anything to help her friends. She is basically a sweet bitch so to speak.
Soul eater and Maka.

Black Star: Black Star is a character that is obsessed with being the best that ever was at anything, you can tell this every time he says "i am the man who will surpass god", this character has more passion than the others and will do anything to succeed at being the best. He is also a meister for a girl named tsubaki. (below) Being loud an obnoxious, this blue haired Naruto knock off sports a total opposite weapon.

Tsubaki: Tsubaki is usually the quiet one that doesn't like to get involved with other people's affairs, she is really sweet and gentle but she is also a demon weapon, but she can take more forms than other demon weapons which makes her really special in her own way.

Death The Kid: Death is a very organized person with OCD, everything MUST be symmetrical even
though he himself is not symmetrical no matter how much he tries to be- an ironic fate. Three white lines cover half of his head and not the other half. No matter how hard he tries he cannot get rid of these lines. He is the son of shinigami who is the dean of Shibusen Academy and also the grim reaper. he is a meister of 2 demon weapons that are sisters who turn into perfectly identical guns which is perfect for him.

(above) Death the kid and his two gorgeous guns striking an odd pose.
Lizz & Patty: Lizz and Patty have been with Death the Kid. They grew up robing and mugging people on the streets but one day they came across death and he said he would take care of them if they were to be his demon weapons, the agreed to this and became friends with him living good lives.

Many Many more characters appear later in the show, but this is your main cast.

ART STYLE: The art style in this anime, was very eye catching, with bright colors and very smooth animations. It is similar to One Piece but with smoother lines and more detailed backgrounds. the lighting was also very impressive, the way it was animated made it seem like a real light more than just a drawing. The backgrounds and colors themes were apparently inspired by Tim Burton. The anime is mostly hand drawn which is amazing considering the fight scenes and intro. Fluid animation. The quality of the anime.
(Below) Sporty, clean, cool, bright- these things the art style is. It really wants to be 3D, things are always coming out at you durring a fight.

OVERALL: As i mentioned before, this anime is very attention grabbing and I highly recommend you watch this anime. The characters are cool and hilarious like the OCD personality of Death the Kid (my favorite character) and around the middle of the series things start to get more psychological and dramatic. Sometimes it's  just plain weird and stupid but in a hilarious way I'm sure you'll love. Thank you for reading this anime review we hope you will enjoy watching this anime.
